Faberge Ladybug Egg Necklace
The ladybug is a symbol of luck. This design made in bright shades of enameling, was inspired by the styles of Carl Faberge (1846-1920), the Russian court jeweler renowned for his bedazzling jeweled eggs and animals, which were given by the Tsar to the Tsarina. His legacy was confirmed at the Exposition Internationale Universelle in Paris in 1900 at which he was acclaimed Master by the Goldsmiths of France. Fine quality reproduction, made with 24k gold plate over pewter, enameled color details, gift box included, the chain measures 16"L and the ladybug pendent measures 7/8"L x 1/2"W x 1/2"D.
